Solution In all government sectors or public sectors the food/meals offered should be offered as per the religious diet guidelines or prescriptions of all religions or meals/food should adhere to something which is common or acceptable to all. Currently Jain food prescription is the most common and acceptable across all religious diet prescriptions. Problem: Muslims want halal food Jews want kosher food Sikhs want non halal food Jains want vegetarian food except honey root vegetables (potato, onion, garlic etc.,) mushrooms Even hotels or restaurants should also offer meals adhering to each religion or have at least 3 common (something acceptable to all religions, which is jain diet) meals as part of their menu. This should apply to all sectors like parliament, airplanes, trains to ensure that participation of all is welcomed and encouraged.
